Registered and built as a personal travel photography internet space, DESTINATIONS. TAKEN DAILY. website (DTDw) showcases photographs taken around home and around the world for the last 10 years. Thousands of photos will be available by the time when all countries listed on the landing page will have their albums uploaded.

This internet portal is for those who like to travel, enjoy photography and like to discover new places. As its name suggests, this site is designed to be a place where one would come each day for a few minutes, just to find new photos and places. It goes well with your coffee time, lunch break, a quiet evening, remembering your own travels, or just enjoying the time with family and friends.

The site is structured based on a simple four-level hierarchy: on the landing page, a list of countries offers you 17 destinations. After choosing an active one, the country page will present the places you can visit, right from its page or from subsequent ones, if more albums are available for one place. Country, places, and albums have links to relevant external pages, such as tourism, country, or city websites, as well as weather and current time of the visited place. Large titled images may link to single or multiple albums by displaying a small icon in their upper-right corner, representing one page or three overlapping pages. These icons can be rectangular or square to indicate full-size or smaller image albums, respectively. Featuring a consistent navigation interface, all albums offer access to the entire content of this website. Additional information about the license, credits, and non-affiliation of this website are available in the footer of its pages.

Photography was one of my interests since I was a student and, besides augmenting my architectural profession at the time, it offered me the medium for making, keeping and sharing memories. Although a college professor now, teaching architecture and design, I still have the same passion for photography, fueled by the excitement to see new places each year.
